I just spent the most incredible weekend with Bob Proctor and his team at the Science of Getting Rich Symposium in Phoenix. This was my second opportunity to experience Bob live, and feel the exquisite energy of a few hundred of his flock as he infused us all with his nearly 40 years worth of experience in the art of invoking the Universal Laws to co-create our lives.

Bob Proctor himself, is an anomaly. There's no one else like him. He's in his late seventies, but has the energy, passion and power of a much younger man. By his own testimony, he went from being, sick, broke and miserable, to healthy, wealthy and happy, simply by exploring the Laws of the Universe and using them to the letter. Is network marketing a lie? Does it really work? It so, then why is the attrition rate in network marketing so high? What causes it?

Associates of network marketing have been told once too many times that duplicating one's upline is the key to building a strong and successful MLM business. These are what many new MLMers of traditional network marketing have been told:

1. Duplicate your upline
2. Everyone within arms length of you is a prospect
3. Anyone can do this and it's not sales but product sharing
4. Just join and you'll have your business built for you

But these same MLMers are struggling and complaint that their business is not making any headway. They put in their effort, pick up names from any available sources, they do all the necessary cold calling, the warming up, tried to find the hot button of the prospects but yet they could not make a sale. They! went back to their upline for advise, and out of this, perhaps the one most irritating statement of all that they get from their upline is probably "Your belief levels aren't strong enough!"

So what went wrong? I had been through that once too many times. I have seen and joined a couple of network marketing companies and my results were like many of them - disappointing!

Hit And Miss Prospecting

Many newcomers to MLM start their first day at business by sharing their product with people they know - friends and relatives. And then only to find themselves drowned in a sea of coldwater and told that they have been scammed, network marketing does not work, the product doesn't sell or a simple not interested, etc. And then see all the friends and relations suddenly disappearing from their life, as if they never existed.

This method of promoting or prospecting friends, relatives, or even total strangers, is known as hit and miss prospecting. This mean! s that they will find someone, a friend, relative or even tota! l strang er, talk and tried to keep promoting the product/service to that someone, and then if he doesn't show any interest, they move on to another. This way of prospecting is not businesslike and often they got themselves labeled as a serial pest.

Worse of all is that it will only take a few rejections for many a newcomer to network marketing to throw in the towel - declaring it hard and stressful.

This is the cause of network marketing's huge attrition rate. This excessive fall out rate has not only affected the individual but affected the industry leaving it with a bad image.

I know because this is what I was taught, tried and felt, although not to the point of being labeled as serial pest but the rejections had affected me in many ways. But why is it that I am still in network marketing, promoting it? It's because I see the potential in it and if it hasn't worked how can it be around for so many decades?

The main reason, as I was analyzing my lack of ! expected results boils down to Leads, targeted Leads.

No Leads No go

The main problem many distributors face is creating a steady flow of prospects, and they have to be targeted. Without constant supply of leads in the business it doesn't matter how much belief one has in ourself and the system, your business will simply stagnate and wither away. For how can we grow without expansion.

Attraction Marketing

Before the Internet age, distributors find their leads through companies that sell them, the Yellowpages, through friends or associates. But the coming of the Internet age all this has changed. With its far reaching power, it has provided us a vehicle for attracting targeted prospects into one network marketing business. There is no longer to call them up to warm them up, find out their hot button and then steer them towards joining us.

With the Internet we can do all the warming up, building relationship, pushing their hot buttons and fi! nally getting them to join us themselves. With the Internet we! can aut omate all these to get them curious, get them to call us and then eventually to want to join us willingly on their own.

The Internet allows us to target the people you want to do business with. And this is done by attracting interested parties online by pre-selling them with their expectations, their dreams before they listen to our primary business offers. This is what we call the Attraction Marketing.

Women have come to a place in history where we are emerging into the forefront of society, and changing the traditional views of our roles within our homes & society. I recall a time when women were expected to stay home to raise the family & take care of all the house chores by themselves as their husbands went off to work to bring home income & provide financially for the family. I also remember a time when you would never expect to see a woman run for top political positions or other powerful positions in society. Fortunately, we are evolving into a higher awareness and realizing that women are definitely capable of achieving more and leading the world into a more peaceful, joyful, and positive place to learn and grow into who we are meant to be.

Being a woman today is exciting because of all the options & freedom to choose our paths along the way. We! must be grateful for the many women who have paved the way for other women to follow and expand into other areas where no other women have gone. We see evidence of this happening all over the globe. For example, in the industry of network marketing and home-based businesses, it was reported in 2002 that 79.9% of the direct selling sales force were women, according to the article, "Lessons from Network Marketing" which was written by David Teten and Scott Allen. More and more women are realizing that we can bring in income through a home-based business, which allows women the freedom to build a business, where we can stay at home and take care of our family and help others through providing a service and/or products that add value to the marketplace. In addition to all the benefits of running a home-based business, entrepreneurial women are realizing that with this type of business structure where we can generate income through the efforts of ourselves as well as the effort! s of a team of people, we can provide for our families in more! ways th an before. We can be the "Mom", "Wife", "Leader", "Bread-winner" and contribute to the world by spreading peace, love, and joy through finding it within ourselves and sharing it with others.

Women in history who have made a difference in our world follow their passion, regardless of what others around them think. Just think about some of the courageous, purpose-driven women, such as Oprah Winfrey, who paved the way for larger African American women on television, or Senator Hillary Clinton, who is running for U.S. presidency, or Dr. Ellie Drake, who came from the Middle East to be educated in America to become a doctor, yet she has discovered along the way that her purpose is to speak and inspire other women to become more than they are through personal development & discovery.

You may be wondering, "How can I become a part of this wave of change?" The first step is to ask yourself some important questions. "What do I want to create in my life?" We must decid! e and ask for what we want, rather than just waiting for things to happen. "What are my reasons for achieving my goals?" Having a strong desire is a very important part of reaching your goals & being self-motivated to take action towards achieving success. "Am I willing to be teachable and let go of what I have learned before so that I can move forward?" This is a question that is not often asked, yet probably one of the more important factors of creating a successful business. To be successful in an industry & world where change is constant, we must look at ourselves in the mirror and ask ourselves, "How can I become better today?" We must remember to be open to new ideas and methods that are easier and more effortless, and be willing to let go of what has become "comfortable" or what you are "used to" doing. Finally, ask yourself, "What am I passionate about?" After you answer this question, you can choose a career or business that matches or develops what you are passion! ate about. Your passion and enthusiasm will provide the emotio! nal fuel to drive you towards your success.

Welcome to another day of abundance and prosperity.
Yes, today you have a choice.
Do what you have always done and receive what you have always received or take a new LifePath.

The Universal Law of Attraction states: We attract whatever we choose to give our attention to--whether wanted or unwanted.

This Law is Universal because it does not matter who you are, where you live, what your religious beliefs are, what year you were born...the Law is true for everyone equally. It is as true as the Law of Gravity.

Most of the time, we attract by "default" rather than by deliberate choice. We just sort of go through our day, focusing on problems that need to be solved or on things that did not feel good nor seem right. In so doing, we are actually creating more problems, more of what does not feel good and more of what does not seem right.

Why does one piece of! steel become a magnet and the other just a piece of metal? One aligns it's atoms; the positive going one way and the negative going the other. This alignment of atoms allows one ordinary piece of steel to become an attracting magnet.

Think of yourself as a huge magnet. The kind that pulls metal to itself from afar off. It doesn't "try" to attract, it simply does attract. It is the same way for us. Whether or not we are trying to attract, we ARE doing so all the time. (Except when we are asleep.) And we attract the likeness of what we think about. If we are thinking about a lack of something, we are attracting more lack (scarcity). If we are thinking about something we love, we are attracting more of what we love and enjoy. I know it sounds incredibly simple, and it is.

We humans are actually very powerful attractors and we can use this wonderful, god-given power to attract more of what we want in life-simply by paying attention to where we place our thoughts ! and desires.

"As a man thinks in his heart, so is he."! Proverb s 23:7 It's interesting that the writer of this proverb says "thinks in his heart" because most of the time, we think that we think with our mind. However, it is truly from the heart where we do our thinking, our believing, our "vibrating".

It is from the heart that we attract. Picture your heart as a powerful magnet. The heart is the "vibrator" of all signals that attract.

Think of a radio. It has many different stations. To tune into a station you dial a specific frequency. As soon as we turn our attention to something (dialed it's frequency) it begins its journey to us.

To be rid of something you do not want in your life, simply tune in to a different vibration (frequency or radio station)--to something that you do want.

Deliberate Attraction is a three part process:

1. Get Clarity about the outcome you desire.

2. Raise your vibration to match your desire.

3. Allow what you have asked for to arrive.

We have the oppo! rtunity to gain clarity in knowing precisely what we want, through the many contrasts" that life offers us. The key to successfully using contrast is to observe it briefly and use it to help you decided what you do want. This takes a little practice, since our habit is to talk about, tell others about and focus on what we did not like.

We all need to let go of all resistance and believe that what we want will come to us--simply because we want it.

" Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we win by fearing to attempt."

"The thing that always happens is the thing that you really believe in and the belief in a thing makes it happen."

As you become more confident in the Law of Attractions' ability to deliver your hearts desire, your doubts and fears will take a back seat. Confidence and joyful certainty will become your predominant vibration. What you need will show up and quickly. The degree to which you are certain of your desire is an ! indicator of the degree to which you are allowing all the good! ness of life to flow to and through you.

I bet everyone of you can think of times in your life when something you really needed appeared when you needed it the most. You didn't really think you did anything except really, really need or want it. You didn't just "wish" it, you dedicated thought, mind and soul to attaining it...consciously attaining it because you just had to have it.

You, yes you, have the ability to change everything about you and your life
Your financial life...... Your personal life....... Your business life....... Your Destiny

Take a moment to think about what your heart desires and put some thought into getting it. Step by step what will it take to get there....... then begin the journey.

The key word for this idea or concept simply put is PROMOTION. Well, how do you promote what you are marketing or giving away? Well, there are several ways to go about promoting products or things you are giving away. Fliers or leaflets through the mail with the web site address on it are one way. Another way is through postcards with a little information about what you are giving away or products and of course the web site. Some people don't like big bulky papers, so this is why the concept of the postcard or leaflet is suggested. Another way is through word of mouth, your friends and family can help you do a lot. Probably more than you could do on your own.

With this in mind there is also the issue of email. Email the website, to all your chat friends or people you have met on the Internet through others or game play, or whatever means you met them. Your friends and famil! y can do the same thing if they will. In this case the idea of promotion will go beyond limits that you thought possible allowing you to market your give away, product, or information you want to get out to people. This can also cause the "domino" effect, as people go to the web site and if they ultimately like what they see they in turn will email or tell someone else about your web site and the domino effect takes off.

Some people however, use free websites to initially market what it is they are giving away, and this works to a certain point. However, getting people to the web site can be somewhat difficult simply because it might have a different domain name and this is hard for some people to perceive. For example, say I were looking for a specific church website that someone had given me, like; getachristiansite.com/church/houseofgod.
This would be confusing, for the simple reason that if you break this down the host or domain is actually "getachristiansit! e.com" while the keyword you obviously have searched on is "ch! urch" an d the name of the church would ultimately be "house of god".
This is difficult to look up, so you need to make it as easy as possible, sometimes less is more. And in the Internet world this fact holds true in many ways.

Most products that marketing websites give away have their logo or name imprinted on them, this is good, and in some other situations the web site address as well. In a few cases people use networking, or group marketing where they join up with other web sites that are of similar orientation as their web site to promote their giveaways or products. This can make a difference at times, depending on the product and the giveaway, as well as the web sites that are grouped together.

The biggest thing to do is focus on a target key market and creative ways to represent the targets you come up with. Think positively and always keep your objective always in the main concept of your marketing strategy of how to market your giveaways, products and ! any other information you have on your website.

You are dressed for success when you use both your subconscious mind and your Spiritual or super-conscious mind. The subconscious mind, wonderful though it be, is instinctive merely, lacking inspiration and what we call originality, while you can achieve success by training your subconscious mind, you can spread your wings and fly to success by tapping into your Spiritual or super-conscious mind.

All inspiration comes from the Universal Mind, via the super-conscious. All poets and inspired writers get their inspiration in this way. This higher mind is not recognized by Psychologists, but it has long been known to searchers for spiritual truth.

What we get from the subconscious is the outcome of facts and knowledge supplied to it. What we get from the super-conscious is direct inspiration f! rom higher planes. This higher mind might also be called the Mind of Illumination, for those who can enter into it become illumined, being able to know the Truth and see things as they really are, and not as they falsely appear to the senses.

This limited consciousness in which we live is bounded by our five senses. The universe that we see around us is partly real and partly an illusion. The real universe is Spiritual and infinite: what we sense is a limited, partial conception of a fragment of it. Our limited, human conception of the universe is entirely misleading and false, and so long as we rely on sense evidence and the human mind, we remain in darkness and uncertainty. When, however, we can rise into the super-conscious realm, our consciousness expands; we develop our wings and fly to success, transcending the senses and the limitations of the physical plane.

The Spiritual mind is, of course, only accessible to those who are more delicately attuned to! its finer vibrations. Nothing that is worth having can be had! without effort, and it is only after much self-discipline that it becomes possible for the student to raise his consciousness to this higher realm and understand life from the standpoint of the Universal Mind.

There is nothing, either mystical or psychical, about the use of this higher mind. One who makes use of it becomes spiritually-minded, that is all. He does not go into trances, nor need he become clairvoyant: he simply remains a sane, normal individual; with this difference only-he makes use of more of his mind than does the ordinary individual.

One who is able to use this higher mind develops that which has been termed "the divine quality of originality." If ever a person is to spread their wings, fly to success, and rise above the dead level of mediocrity it must be through direct inspiration from higher planes, through his super-conscious mind. If ever a person is to bring forth a new idea which shall enrich humanity and add to the common good, it must come! through the higher mind.

One who is properly attuned, becomes, through the super-conscious mind, a recipient of knowledge that is above human, and wisdom that is divine. He knows by direct knowing: he becomes wise through an influx of Divine Wisdom. He is able to distinguish between the real and the make-believe, between the gold and the rubbish: he is also able to see and recognize the right path in life-a thing utterly impossible to the mind of the senses- and to tread it, thus being led into the only true success and real good of which his life is capable.

Let it be said here that all Wisdom must come from within. While books and the written word may be helpful, it is the Spirit within the reader that illumines the word, and makes it real and true to the seeker after Wisdom. One who realizes that he is illumined within by the Divine Spirit and that this alone can bring him into real knowledge is well advanced on the path that leads to realization.

The wisdom of the human mind always leads to disappointment. It is based on the evidence of the senses, which is false, therefore its findings must always be lacking in real wisdom. One who relies upon the inspiration of Divine Wisdom has often to decide to take a course of action which, apparently, is opposed to his best i! nterests. Yet, if he follows the inward Wisdom, he finds that he is always guided aright, and, later, has cause to be devoutly thankful that he followed the gleam, spread his wings and flew to success.

The intention of this article is to give people interested to joining a MLM program like SFI, a fair picture or "both sides of the coin" about what they can expect from similar programs.

Don't get me wrong when I say I do not recommend you to join Strong Future International or SFI Marketing Group (a.k.a Six Figure Income). I have my reasons. But you do not need to agree or disagree with my statement, because what I say it is 100% true fact. Let me explain:

My relationship with SFI Marketing Group began almost 5 years ago, hopeful to building a self-sustainable and profitable home based business, on January 24 of 2003. Six months later I saw my first commission check of $16.50. A little more than a year later, in February of 2004, I was still earning a monthly commission check of around $15.00.

Due to a more diligent marketing effort, after March of 2004 my SFI commission check was gradually increasing up to the point when on July of that year I got a $203.29 payment; effectively covering my IAHBE membership ($29.95) and check ($1.00) fees, so the actual earning was $234.24.

During 2005, 2006 and two months into 2007 payments increased even further up to a point where I was earning around $300 in commissions. Before that time I was achieved a Team Leader status with more than two thousands referral members on my downline.

On January of 2007, SFI owner Mr. Gery Carson unilaterally decided to change the compensation plan of the company. That's when the trouble began. For two consecutive months (February and March of 2007), my commission payment amount drop to around $25, which is not enough to even cover the IAHBE membership fee. So on March of 2007, I decided to cancel my SFI account and forget about the whole SFI/MLM scheme.

Before the new! compensation plan became effective, I consistently kept my Te! am Leade r status and was generating an average of 4 new affiliates daily until the day I canceled my account. No to mention that I used to follow up every referral that signed up below me after they achieve Executive Affiliate status and beyond.

They still keep promising residual income:

"income that keeps coming in month after month, year after year, from work you do just once. It's like a royalty; you write a book or record a song and get paid forever on it."

I don't think it is fair that after 5 years doing business with SFI; been able to generated thousands of affiliates, earning almost three hundred each month in commissions; all of the sudden my earning was reduced to a level that was not enough to even pay for the membership fees, just because a change in the compensation plan. It is like starting all over again. The home based business dream felt like a sand castle hit by the waves on the beach.

I'm sure that this change affected many other SFI me! mbers, no just me. Even many others admit that were touched by this arbitrary plan change.

My question (which you don't have to answer) is: Where is the "residual income" promise?

To judge from what we see all around us, one of a person's most basic desires is to achieve a sense of security. We want to be assured that tomorrow will be at least "as good," but preferably "better" than today.

When you Google "security," the emphasis is protection. Personal protection, data protection, identity protection, we are constantly bombarded with information about the threats around us and how to protect ourselves from these threats. We are so caught up in our fears, we have little time to enjoy our life, so we seek "security."

But is there such a thing as "security" or is it just another illusion laid out for us by society and government to get our eye off the real prize? We are controlled and prodded into being good little sheep, going daily to our little cube, returning home to our little house, thanking our lucky stars when we get a break from the routine of life with a we! ekend, holiday or vacation.

And what is our reward for being the good little sheep? Enough to keep us fed and watered and clothed, with a little left over for entertainment. Is that really worth the "security" we receive from the system?

What will happen to us if we push against the sides of this coffin that has been laid out for us? What will occur when we seek another path, seek to be the billy goat in society, asking questions of the governors and rulers, seeking a better path to the future?

Of course, the "security" promised does not preclude obstacles from coming into our life. In fact, "security" would seem to really have little impact on what is going to come about in our lives. "Life Happens." One thing I can guarantee is there will be obstacles.

Let's look at a better pattern.

1. Have a vision. If you don't know where you are going, you surely won't get there.

2. Have plans. There are many sayings that go with this! so put in your favorite. Also note that plans can be multiple! : one pr imary plan to get to the vision with some thought out alternatives or contingency plans already in place to assist in step 4 below.

3. Take action. My mentors and coaches are always tasking me to get through the action steps. Adjusting a stationary object is very difficult, it is much easier to get moving and keep moving and then make the corrections necessary to get to the vision.

4. Adjust to the obstacles. Avoid, confront, ignore, whatever. Obstacles WILL occur. It really doesn't matter what your view of the cause of obstacles may be, the one thing for sure is that they will happen and they can provide the most important life lessons. What did you ever learn from an easy success?

The above pattern is cyclical. The vision can morph from time to time as we approach a vision, or can change totally as one vision is reached. And as the vision morphs or changes, the subsequent steps may be impacted and adjusted as well.

Studies have shown that t! he top 5 percent have written goals and plans to achieve the goals. Hmmmm!

Of course that also means that there is a strong correlation between not having goals and plans and failure to achieve success and prosperity!! Ouch!!

There is no better way to achieve the security we seek than to take charge of our own vision, establish our own plan, execute the action necessary and adjust to the obstacles encountered. Expecting security from external sources is an interesting phenomenon of the enlightened progressive movement we are constantly exposed to and controlled by.

"The Safety Net provided for us to fall into in times of trial will protect you" is the promise we are given. And that is the illusion that is bankrupting us all!

Do you remember when you were young? You felt that the world was your personal oyster, and anything you wanted or attempted was yours just for the taking. All through school, elementary, high school and college, you planned and said what you were going to do when you grew up. Failure was just not in your vocabulary. The simple truth was you could not wait to become 18 years old, the age of maturity. As you worked day-by-day - week-by-week - month-by-month - and year-by-year your dreams became less clear and unfocused. Then, chances are, you started comparing yourself to your co-workers, neighbors and your family. You not longer compared yourself with your dreams and your passion or your own personal vision of success. Finally you conformed and your childhood dreams are just a memory or gone forever.

Do you remember how many dreams you had? Did you have dreams of a fantastic career, a big house and a great car, a loving mate and family? Maybe you wanted to visit a! ll to states in America, travel the world and see the seven wo! nders of the world, see all of the lighthouses on Americas coast lines or see the castles of Europe. For the majority of adults, their thoughts and therefore actions are directly tied to what they perceive others will think of them, thus actively creating their biggest barrier to personal success. For the most part, we do or do not do something because of what someone else will think of us.

This factor is the single, greatest, personal success barrier that keeps most people stuck and not moving towards their dreams and ultimate wellbeing. From a personal stand point, this life lesson has been an immense blessing and yet one that I continue to work through. I can now admit, I was, and still am on occasion addicted to having others think well of me.

This particular (frequently subconscious) addiction has cost me! in many ways: inappropriate financial decisions, compromised needs in a career situation, less satisfaction in relationships, not giving to myself for many years, frequently not saying what needed to be said and then feeling resentful.

Assuming that you abide by the law and don't intentionally hurt someone or something else, what others think of you is none of your business and totally irrelevant. This is not easy to accept.

If you think I am exaggerating, how many of you believe or feel (consciously, or maybe even subconsciously) that your self worth is tied to your spouse, to your job, to your title, or to your possessions?

No matter how you grew up, you were more than likely taught at a very young age to take what was said and done in a very personal way. What we are and what we believe in, such as the language we speak, the religion we practice, the value we place on education, and so on was handed to us by others. We were encouraged to learn what ! was deemed to be 'right' or 'wrong'. If we did what others wan! ted we w ere liked and approved of. If we did something that was not desired, we were perhaps punished, made to feel ashamed, to feel guilty or blamed. Therefore, from an early age we were conditioned to do things for approval and we were rewarded for doing so. It is not surprising that as adults, we take things personally, and are concerned with what others think of us. More than likely this concern is a barrier to your personal success.

It is important to remember that others see you through their own truths and their own fog. Knowing this makes it easier to stop being worried with what they think.

One of my mentors put a mirror to me so that I could understand some of this erroneous thinking and way of being. She taught me that, Everyone, that means you and me included, are perfect, blessed, full of grace, worthy, deserving, and wonderful right NOW, just as we are. There is NO NEED for acceptance, judgment or criticism from someone else. What actually keeps the fear ! of being judged by others in place is the self-imposed RIGHT to judge and criticize others.

The thought and said ideas of us being afraid of being judged is just a "front" (for the ego) for the real issue. The real issue is we MUST GIVE UP the self anointed right to JUDGE OTHERS. This is much more difficult to do as it pops up in unexpected places and unexpected times.

Be honest, how many times do you catch yourself passing a negative comment on someone's dress code, their speech, their attitude, their work ethic, their life results, and so on? People want to remain in this self-crowned position of being judge, jury and executioner of other people and in so doing, call the same "stuff" back to them. Once again this is the law of attraction in action. We can speed the letting go of this barrier to personal success once the recognition of what we are actually doing comes into our consciousness. We give up judging others and we get the freedom we all deserve.
!
The bottom line, it is your life and it is your dream that! counts for you; not someone else's definition of what constitutes a worthwhile pursuit. Your dream and your aspirations are yours for your enjoyment. However, if you want to make money with your dream then it will have to add value to others. Know, that you will never be happy following another's plan for your life.

You can reach great heights. You just need to immunize yourself against the biggest barrier to personal success - what others think of you!
